What we do

VFNA brings together small and medium-sized business owners with investors, advisors, business leaders, and other diverse financial resource providers from across the country for the purpose of helping small businesses increase their access to capital.

Established by Venture Funding Network, a Social Benefit Enterprise, VFNA is designed to help small businesses overcome obstacles to financial success.  By partnering with major corporations, government agencies and nonprofit associations, VFNA is able to bring the best financial know-how directly to the diverse small business owner, focusing on what holds most companies back – access to capital and funding.

VFNA hosts Regional Access to Capital Conferences that feature keynote speakers and panels with entrepreneurs, investors and experts sharing their experience and insights into financing for all levels. DBEs learn from and network with participants from key funding sources, including:

  • angel investors
  • venture capitalists
  • banks
  • factoring companies
  • leasing companies
  • government funding agencies
  • alternative funding sources

VFNA’s Regional Access to Capital Conferences may also include educational sessions, workshops, networking, pitch presentation reviews, and more.

VFNA’s programs and events are geared to informing, educating and motivating minority, women and veteran owned firms on how to become more involved in obtaining the vital capital they need to grow their businesses.

For VFNA’s Corporate and Government Alliance Members, this translates to increased capacity for DBEs as suppliers and contractors, which helps to strengthen the procurement and supply chain use of DBEs.
